Just to add, they do report AUs but only if they can match the person's credit profile to the card. If that person happens to have a different address, etc., sometimes lenders can't report, which can be both a good thing (for you) or bad for someone who needs the tradeline.
Citi asks for DOB of AUs, so the chances of matching are higher than other banks that only ask for name, but less than lenders like Amex that require SSN. I've added people related to me (and not) who don't live with me and the card doesn't report to their files.
Anyway, you'd still have to give the person the actual card. That's their ticket into the lounges. Not sure if you were asking because you don't want to do that or simply not have the card report to the CRAs.
Message 3 of 7 Regular ContributorIt would be my spouse and I actually prefer "Not" to have it report. I really didn't want the account to lower their score by adding a "new" account to the profile. The only reason to add AU is for lounge access when we don't travel together.
I also don't know what would happen to the tradeline once the Authorized User is removed for the account.

If it's your spouse, I'd say 99.99% chance it's going to automatically report. Did you just get the card? If not, it'll report with the same date as yours.
The AU can also request the CRAs to remove the account from their file. I haven't done it in a while, but there's an option that they can select saying their not responsible for the account and ask them to delete the tradeline.
Message 5 of 7 Regular ContributorNo, was getting ready to apply and add at the time of application, so it would have the new open date. Do they somehow validate the card upon entering the Lounge? We have only had access when traveling business class.

I can't answer that because I don't have the Executive card -- only the $99 AF version. I've thought about upgrading several times but I've been able to get away with Centurion lounges and Priority Pass.
My understanding is that you have to present the card in order to enter, and starting next month, a same-day boarding pass on AA or partner airline. If it's like other lounges, they most likely swipe the card to check it's valid, but there are many members here with the card who can answer if there's further validation.
